Current Information:Age-25 Born-Handborough Enlisted-Marylebone Cambrin Churchyard, France 22nd Royal Fusiliers arrived in France in November to become part of 99 Brigade, 2nd Division. Their first experience of the trenches was at Annequin, just to the east of Bethune and it was here, during the first few days of December, 1915 they were under instruction from the Royal Engineers in trench repairs. Whilst engaged in this on 5th December they came under heavy shell fire which wounded 15 men and killed Private Edgington. |
